I stopped by Taylor Shellfish after my visit to Virginia Mason and then grabbed a coffee at the nearby Starbucks Reserve. The restaurant primarily focuses on shellfish, but they also offer a small lunch and dinner menu. It gets quite busy, but the staff was incredibly friendly and the service was outstanding. I ordered the chowder and the tuna, both of which were fantastic—I could eat them every day! The tuna was paired with a sweet mango sauce and a sprinkle of salt that enhanced its flavor. They offer wine as well, but I chose to stick with water. The prices are very reasonable, and I left feeling satisfied. I'm definitely planning to return and explore their other locations.
Visited the processing plant after speaking with Megan a lovely young lady at Xinhs restaurant. We was priveledged to be able to have a tour without booking. Megan was the person who took us around the plant and explained the various process that Taylors shellfish go through before they arrive on the table. Very interesting to go in and see and made better by someone who was passionate about her job and what the company does.
Whether you're stopping by to pick up fresh oysters to grill over a fire or enjoying a meal in the restaurants and bars along the western side of Washington, Taylor Shellfish never disappoints. Be sure to try the oyster shooter with tequila—it really kickstarts your day! The oysters are truly fresh and amazing. Thanks, Squaw!
Got 5lbs of steamers full of sand and they took care of me w/ a smile. We completely understand stuff happens. Their customer service and awesome attitudes well made up for it!! Thanks for being so amazing guys!!

We went to their Melrose Ave location. The freshest oysters, pink scallops, and geoduck! So good, can't wait to go back!
