be a few times now, they love the deluxe hot chocolate, although it is a bit expensive. the cheeks are also very beautiful. I ordered the breakfast last time that we were there and doubled (eye bigger than bauch) it was hard to eat there. it was all stacked on a normal dish. we sat on a small table and there was hardly any space to put the drinks and teller. the crates in which they bring the best are a bit of a waste of time to be honest. you could say, unless someone has to put the serviettes in and the ones in, so it would be easy to bring the cutlery and serviette in? my only little critique, if ever that every time we were in the teamworkers, seem to huddle up and chat with each other q...
Visited for family breakfast following recommendation from fiend. Queued outside for Drinks arrived and then waited min to even order food. Then waited mins for the food to arrive. As we didn’t have all morning to spare, chased food and waitress in...pink T-shirt had too much attitude and said mins was an ok time to wait for a bit fo breakfast. Then chatted about us to others behind the counter. Food was ok when it arrived but truffle oil too strong on mushrooms. Told same waitress at till that it was toolong to wait etc and was given more attitude. Needless to say o don’t recommend and won’t be visiting again! If you see a queue ……don’t join it! It’s not worth it inside.
The design is sleek yet quirky and fun. They make so many of their own unique products which you can buy in the shop which are really fair priced and look amazing. They also stock some really amazing belgian beers. The food options are amazing,...and they have lots of great looking specials. The service speed is reasonable, the portions are really generous and the food is just amazing. Me and my wife shared their break-feast which easily fed us both. It's such good value for money. The staff were so warm and friendly. I've never had such kind and generous customer service before, the staff really make you feel welcome and looked after.
We are finished with this place after today. This is only the second time in my life that a restaurant has charged for tap water. When we ordered, my wife asked for tap water. A bottle of water was presented and my wife said that...it was not tap water. The waitress laughed nervously and walked away. When we were charged for the water, my wife did not want a fuss. She simply decided that we and our family and friends would take our business to somewhere more ethical. I know that their action was not illegal, but it strikes me as worryingly desperate. It is a shame because we have been customers for some years.

we have tried to taste cactus caffe kitchen after we recently traded as a tee with alice. while the personal is friendly, it took almost an hour to deliver some sandwiches. if it had been busy, it might have been understandable, but it wasn't the drinks came quite fast, but we didn't want cold coffee and flat coks with our meal. we had a similar experience when it was tee with alice so wanted to see if the service had improved, but unfortunately it didn't have that for us, I don't think we will be back. Eating was okay, but not great.
I’d heard lots of good things about this place so was eager to visit. The coffees were really good but our cakes were well, sadly just a bit average. Mums carrot cake was moist but the icing was overpoweringly sickly and my scone was really...dry. I don’t know whether we hit on a bad day but we were really disappointed. I get what they are trying to achieve but I think they’ve still some fine tuning to do to get it right. On a positive the cooked breakfasts we saw going out to other diners looked really lovely.
We discovered Tea with Alice in an alternative to motorway services book. We are driving south to visit family for Christmas and stopped for a mid morning breakfast. What a find! Friendly staff, great food, lovely atmosphere, dog biscuits for our two dachshunds and convivial...chats with folk on tables around us. The best bit wonderful gluten free bread! We will definitely be back next time we are passing.
we stopped here on the way to Scotland. we nailed good coffee near me and brought up tee with alice. it's a nice caffe. we enjoyed a tee and a coffee and a carrot cake that was really good. we would definitely recommend.

Just had the burger and chips , can honestly say the chips were the best I’ve ever had and the burger was amazing well worth , first time I’ve been will deffo be going back if the rest of the food is the same...standard
