"Food was really good for ski restaurant! Good place to meet non skiing relatives. They have a nice walk but not too far. The atmosphere is really good in this place. Service ok but bit chaotic"

This hutte is right next to the lifts (and thus you'd hear the humming noise if you sit ourside) and looks against the beautiful mountains and descending skiers. The kitchen team and the service team are doing an excellent job ! Probably the best and the most creative fine food we have ever had. They also serve variety of wine by glass instead of one or two kinds. Just pass next from the kitchen service area at the back and there you have the best indoor tables (away from the noise of the kitchen and clueless tourists looking around). We'd be inclined to rate this joint with 4 initially but due to the food, service and decoration quality we use our discreation for a 5 ! Enjoy your lunch!
Here is what happened: Seven of us arrived at 1.20 p.m. for a reservation at 1.30. We were asked to wait while the “table was prepared”. At 1.40 I asked again The table was still not ready and the host said “a delay of 10 minutes is not significant“. At this point another group of 7 people turned up and went directly to their table! At 1.50 I asked again. We were finally seated just after 2pm. This is not acceptable especially the lack of explanation or apology from the host. The food was good though.
Great lunch slightly chilly day so we booked a table inside. Two of us skied in to the restaurant while two others took the quick lift up from Laax in the gondola. Its not much higher than the Rock Resort in Laax. (Free bus 101 from Flims Bergbahnen to Laax). Food and service top class very attentive and an excellent kitchen. Also the best loo's up the mountain. Outside (in January) theres only sun on one side until late morning so wrap up warm there are outside heaters... or eat inside.
We enjoyed our family lunch get together out on the terrace and could let the children play safely on the large grassy area around the restaurant There are a choice of local dishes to try which makes this restaurant perfect for visiting guests who would like to try some authentic Graubunden food such as capuns
