The Appetizers were fresh and hot and the Salad ordered tasted good and had a very nice portion size. My wife ordered the shepherds pie. This unfortunately was not good at all. I hate to give a bad review but the shepherd pie was awful and tasted nothing like a shepherds pie. The meat was greasy black over cooked salty ground meat soaked in oil with a few bits of carrots 4 tiny pieces in total) no other vegetables. This was definitely over cooked left over meat not sure what kind) loaded with salt and grease and covered with mashed potatoes in top. This definitely was not a shepherd pie. We were planning on going there for dinner one nite this week because a friend recommended the place. Unf...
A sports bar pretending to be a tavern. The staff was great and very friendly. Rowdy Crowd on a Sunday evening that drowned any similarity of an atmosphere. It is regrettable that a local company cannot sell local beers on tap, especially with so many in the region to work with. Great brand name only domestic decisions. Cauliflower wings were prefabricated and frozen. Seafood special was okay. Shrimps, mussels and crab legs were good, the lobster was far from fresh and tasted like nothing. To round it off, combed potatoes were the supplement. No good eating experience.
They have a wide selection of liquor, however the service is quite slow. The food is alright, but the quality is lacking. The fish tasted as though it was dunked in butter and the southwestern chicken cheese steak was bland. The peppers were also much hotter than the chicken, which may indicate that they were microwaved. I can't say I'll be returning.
This is a perennial spot for my fiance's family and we just went here again yesterday. For the first time I tried the Sunday Seafood first and it was amazing, especially for the price. Avoid the chain restaurants and give this place a try. The shepherd's pie is also one of the few I would say is almost as good as mom's
You can definitely expect food and service here at the Raccoon Saloon in Marlboro, NY extremely pleasant. We often visit dinners and family events. The restaurant is located in an amazing historical building in the charming little town near the falcon. I would like to recommend a visit, you will surely enjoy yourself.
