Tendances et Saveurs

Unprepossessing from the outside, easily missed on the main road, looking more like a bar or a small cafe, Tendances and Saveurs has a large dining room downstairs and a chef who knows how to cook beef, veal and local game and poultry. Best Cote de Veau I can remember for €16 with beautifully tender and tasty brochettes of local beef. We went back and tried the magret de canard, excellent and the fresh water fish which was good but not as good as the meat. No fine dining fripperies and most people jut have a main course and a dessert or cheese if they have room left.Probably worth booking as we were there midweek in early December and yet it filled up on the Tueday nights and was nearly two nights later.

Was it because we looked like tourists? But this place really treated us like unwelcome. We had a table on the terras and as the sun was setting, I couldn't look at my partner because I was looking straight into the sun. So we asked, politely, if we could shift the table slightly so as to avoid this problem during the meal. Bad idea, the waitress felt as of that moment treated us very unfriendly. The food was good but the atmosphere hanging over this meal was like a thundercloud. And that while all we wanted to do was to avoid me getting blind while looking at my partner.

Had a day out in the mountains,a cold day and we were cold and wanted a good meal,not knowing any in the area of Aurillac South west France,We saw tripadvisor sticker on the door,could be good,5people in our group,excellent meal for each of us,served hot and good service,we recommend this resturant ,hope to go back again,

Très bon accueil de la part des personnes en charge de la salle. Viande excellente et truffade parfaite. Service efficace, attentif et agréable. Repas table très agréable encore merci.

Little, but cozy little restaurant in the middle of the murat. limited, but solid choice of the card. Fresh products. Excellent price/ quality relationship. Nice service.
