I was surprised to find a Filipino restaurant in Folsom. We went here for a super late lunch at 15:45 after shopping at the outlet. My family and my cousins ordered a lot since we were starving. The restaurant has several tables inside and few outside. It is fast food like type where you order, pay your food from the counter. Chicken Adobo Combo: delicious! The chicken was delicately tasteful. The part was quite generous: lots of rice large chicken pieces. Menudo Combo: good. The pig was tender and the sauce was good. lechon kawali combo: the skin of pork belly was crispy the pork belly was tender. pork abobowl: smaller part of the combo but still fulfill. Clean and nice ambiance, but doesn?t matches the styrofoam plates and cups for dine-in customers. Very attentive cashier, and she immediately take action to address our complaint about the under portioned sinigang (soup meal). Food was okey, halo-halo was quick, but there?s something off-taste of an ingredient. Lechon kawali tastes good. but the pork skin is chewy (makunat). Teriyaki chicken and the portioning was perfect. Close to $70.00 billl for 2 adults and a child. Not complaining about the price, but please review the portioning of the foods.
The Combo Plate is great. The portions are very large, and I usually split this and still have left over adobo later. They make great food, package it with care, and never disappoint. Always quick and hot! Btw, Im Filipino and cook filipino food myself regularly, and Im picky about it, so thats saying something very positive about them. Love the sinigang, pansit, and although I personally like it more vinegary, the chicken adobo is really good too. My kids, (even my toddler) love it, and will eat the leftovers the same day- they never do that.
I ordered a Combo Plate with paksiw and menudo Ala Carte (Filipino food) .. the menudo portion is in a container about the size of my palm for$14+, while the combo plate paksiw comes with rice and pancit for $17+.. pricey for the amount of menudo that has a lot of fat and oil compared to a larger container of paksiw WITH rice and pancit. The milk tea drinks are good. I will say the food is tasty compared to others by me which arent many. Réservez une table maintenant
Whenever I am homesick, I always find myself to visit Teriyaki Station for good Filipino food. This time of year they have the Arroz Caldo available, so I have ordered, but we usually get Kare with Lechon kawali and it is always yummy! Lechon kawali is sooo crispy and melts in the mouth! Service is always top Notch and servers are so friendly :
