5 star location 3 star food 1 star service. Booked here for dinner Tuesday 14th November, table for 7 at 7.30pm. We've eaten here many times before and always found the staff to be just about OK but over time seemed to be getting worse. On this occasion we'd been assured the staff ans service were much improved. However our experience was the worst ever having made our own way to our table as everyone ignored our arrival we waited half an hour before we got up and asked for some service. When it arrived the atmosphere was almost hostile and so we got up and left. We were amazed to find one of the staff chasing after us with extremely angry and hostile language. 3 previous visits to Playa Blanca we have looked at the menu outside this restaurant and walked away. We decided to give it a go last night and are so thankfull that we did. It was by far the best meal we have had in Playa over many years visiting and just wish we had tried it sooner. The food was delicious. The wife had Iberian Pork and said it just melred in the mouth and was really tasty. I tried the stuffed peppers and Octopus. Both were scummy. The staff were friendly even though they were busy and guided us with the tapas. A good atmosphere too. We are going home in two days but have booked again before we leave and we are both so looking forward to our last night at La Cubierta!.
This place was always on our regular list but there appears to have been a change of ownership/staff between March and November and it is not to the good. Prebooked as usual and upon arrival the lady misunderstood that we had a booking,she just said not a chance and turned away.Eventually seated and no great improvement,the waiter advised that he had no english despite speaking same at an adjacent table.The food quality also appears to have deteriorated.
Amable, delicioso y una hermosa vista! No planeábamos comer aquí, pero cuando vimos el restaurante tranquilo del nivel superior… ¡rápidamente cambiamos de planes! En primer lugar, todo el personal es amable, habla muy bien inglés y es bueno en su trabajo En segundo lugar, ¡la comida estuvo increíble! ¡Los sabores simples pero hermosos del pulpo de cazuela mezcla de mariscos y champiñones fueron inolvidables! Fantásticas vistas y buena comida en las muchas ocasiones que he comido aquí, tanto a la hora del almuerzo como por la noche. La gran ración de merluza a la plancha (merluza a la plancha) excelente relación calidad-precio. Muy buena relación calidad-precio y servicio profesional. Ve allí para disfrutar del hermoso atardecer, ¡simplemente genial!
