Thai Baan Thai Street Food

Although this was a last minute booking for our son's 30th Birthday, I can see why it's one of his favourite places to eat in Chester. Although the service was slow at times, this never detracted from a great food experience. Of course it's going to be westernised, but most of the dishes were close to our experiences in Asia. This was our first visit and on our son's advice we had a number of small dishes. This was, indeed, the best way to experience this well presented and tasty menu. I would have preferred a slightly more authentic Thai use of chilli, but travelling around Asia more than a couple of times, you soon realise chilli is not the national dish. Amazing authentic Thai restaurant in Bridge Street, Chester. So many small plate options. It's begging for a return visit . My food was delicious, portions size was good and service was prompt and friendly. Well priced and an obviously popular place to eat it was over half full by 6.30pm on Monday night well done Thai Baan!! Delicious Thai food in town centre. We came by via google reviews 4.8 and it was not disapointed. Even though the restaurant is not spacious, it is well decored, cosy, pretty. We ordered Set Lunch menu £14.95 served one side dish and one main dish. Really worth to try. Just one minus thing was slow service. We came on lunch time and it is not busy time, but kitchen had customers wait for 20mins. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
