I 'm very curious as to what this place used to be. It 's definitely not been really renovated when it was turned into a Thai restaurant, so it seems a little strange walking in. I found it quite by accident, out for a motorcycle ride, coming down the hill into Campbellville I saw their sign and came in. They don 't have any sort of bell or chime or anything at the door to get anyone 's attention so I stood there awkwardly for a little while before a very friendly lady came, seated me, and brought me a menu. We got the lunch specials which were $9.95 before tax. Came with soup, a spring roll, and a main with salad and a slice of watermelon and orange. The soup was good I liked the wonton in it and the nappa cabbage. But it was pretty salty. The spring roll was nice and crunchy with veggies on the inside, and I quite enjoyed it. The service was definitely commendable given that there was only one person attending to the entire restaurant. While it wasn’t bad, it would have been more attentive if there had been additional staff. The timing of the food being served could also use improvement, as there were significant delays between the dishes arriving. Some main courses came out first, followed by appetizers, and then more mains, which suggested that the kitchen was likely short-staffed as well. The green curry was flavorful and had a lovely coconut milk taste, although it could have used a bit of salt. Unfortunately, the chicken in that dish was also a little overcooked. The coconut rice upgrade was somewhat disappointing, as it had no distinct coconut flavor and didn’t meet my expectations. However, our server kindly removed the charge for it once we mentioned it wasn’t flavorful. Came to try this place out cuz of the great reviews from google. Here is my review. The green curry chicken tasted bad. No, I mean it went bad from sitting there all day kinda bad. Not fresh. It had a strong after taste in my mouth. Kinda bitter. After dinner here, I had massive diarrhoea. The Thai basil noodle had no flavour and the noodle was undercooked.
I live nearby so thought I should try this restaurant because I really love Thai food. Unfortunately I was not too impressed as my meal was very salty and I found the serving size small for the price. Alot of people seem to like this place so maybe it was just what I ordered. Nice neat clean environment, very good. The food is fantastic, probably the best drunken noodle I had in a long long time. The quality of the meat is excellent, not too soft nor too dry. The noodle is very very nicely done. Not oily nor salty. We enjoyed so much! Réservez une table maintenant
