Thai Orchid Garden

The food was, at best, mediocre. The Pad Thai was simply a plate of noodles, lacking peanuts, tofu, cilantro, and fresh bean sprouts. The green beans were acceptable, but the whole fried Pompano would have been fine if I hadn’t been charged $59.99. I usually order this same meal at various Thai restaurants and have never paid more than $45 for the entire meal. I raised my concerns, and the waitress claimed that this is the standard price for Pompano, although I know it costs around $8 at Asian grocery stores. Additionally, I researched Thai restaurants within a 20-mile radius, and none list whole fried fish—Pompano, trout, catfish, or tilapia—priced over $30. This was my first and last visit...

I don't know why it has taken me to write a review of this place. I have been a patron of this business for years. It is my absolute FAVORITE Thai place I've ever been to. The owner is extremely kind and gracious, she always attends to my table and asks if I need anything. The food is amazing. Better than any of the other local places in Claremont/pomona/La Verne/upland etc. The decoration and ambience is great, really makes you feel relaxed and happy. Can not wait until my next visit. This place deserves your business.

I absolutely love this restaurant! It's a real hidden gem. The owners are incredibly kind and provide wonderful service. I have many Thai family members, so I eat Thai food frequently, and I can say their curry and tom kha are exceptional. Lisa even offered me a sample of another curry to compare, which I really appreciated. The level of heat in my curry was *perfect*, just as I requested. I can't wait to come back again and again. I’ve been living in Claremont for over 20 years, and I absolutely love this restaurant! The food, service, and ambiance are all fantastic! First visit on our way to Rialto. Staff was friendly. My toddler liked the beef skewers, and rice. I enjoyed the curry, chow mein and small tom kah. Everything was yummy and not greasy. We will definitely return when in the area.
