On my week long stay in sunny Waterford, I thought I'd continue my search for epicurian delights at Thai Sa-art on the basis of it being one the only places left to eat that didn't have all it's dishes in a bain-marie or a deep fried menu.It has a couple of tables but really, you wouldn't want to eat in. While it's not exactly grubby, the green walls certainly lack any ambience. After ordering, I had enough time to head up to the bottle shop for a couple of beers. Which was good as waiting wasn't exactly fun. The food was OK but that's it. Go back factor: Low. There is so much better available in the area.
The restaurant recently reduced the size in order to concentrate more on takeaway meals, which appear to be what the local population want, however the quality of the food has not changed.It would rate as one of the better Thai restaurants in Queensland.The decor is not the best, but do you want to eat good food or sit in a pretty place?Having eaten Thai food in Thailand and other Asian countries Thai Sa Art is certainly comparable, and the decor in Asia is not always good either.As an interesting aside Sa'Art is Cambodian for beautiful /very nice etc and the owner of the restaurant's wife is Cambodian.
I ordered from this restaurant for dinner tonight and it was delicious! I don't eat pork, but they were happy to switch it to sweet and sour chicken for me. We also requested no shrimp in the fried rice and they offered to replace it with chicken. The spring rolls were the best I've ever had, and the Mongolian beef was fantastic. The chicken and corn soup wasn't my favorite, but I'm used to the canned kind so it was probably just an adjustment. Even my picky kids loved their food!
Mixed entree was a pleasure, main courses allowed expansive variety. Wife had Mexican and I had Thai. Best Pad Thai I have ever eaten, the chicken was all clean white meat, very tasty and filling with a wonderful freshness. Will definitely be returning with friends and relatives, might keep this gem a secret so they don't get booked out, as I am sure they will when others discover them.

I absolutely love the food at this restaurant! It has my favorite curries in all of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. However, I don't agree with the restriction of only allowing up to 5 seated restaurant guests.
I enjoyed the food but it wasn't close to the best I've eaten. They were busy being a public holiday and they did their best to get it out quickly. Found it a little expensive for the quality.
First trip - wow - had Mexican entree then Thai main great Second - all mexican Third Trip - Mexican and Thai mixed Could not fault the meals

Combination meals and a good selection but not my thing but in fairness other people at our table enjoyed it
This restaurant is an excellent choice for a delicious meal. The staff is exceptional.
