Thai Spice House - Réservation de table

My friend and I love a Thai meal after the movies and had heard good things about the Thai Spice House.It's on the first level a block up from the cinema on the opposite side and well worth the few extra steps.We chose to start with the Tom Yum Prawn soup, warming and delicious, Duck pancake with cucumber & shallot, and their special dumplings. For mains we shared the Crying Tiger and washed it all down with a couple of gasses of red wine.Service was excellent and the final bill at $63 for two; great value.Next time I'll double up on the Duck Pancakes and perhaps try the Soft Shell Crab and the Sizzling Seafood. Highly recommended.

I'm old to the area, and have been using Thai Spice House as our regular go-to for both take away and casual one-on-one nights out. The ownership or management seems to have changed hands a number of times over the years. The restaurant fit-out is basic, but still OK for a comfortable casual dinner.Over the years I have found their food offering good value for money. It's basic standard Oz Thai, but reliably good.Fave for us: Prawns Choo Chee ... as long as you can cope with the peppercorns.

We had the $39.95 deal. The starters were nice (chicken satay and a fish cake) and the mains were small but nice (soft shell crab and chicken basil and chilli). Maybe it was because we ordered the deal or because it was 8:45, but the staff were really unfriendly. First they would not come over and take our order (the place was empty and they were drying dishes), then the service was pretty lukewarm after that.

Love this place. Great little Thai restaurant. Food is always fresh and tasty. Service always warm and friendly. Also great for coeliacs as they are a professional member of the coeliac society and have heaps of gluten free options and even gluten free beer! They have a lunch special menu on Fridays which is great as well. Highly recommended especially if you have a coeliac in your dining party. Réservez une table maintenant

We decided to try it as my wife had seen something about it having gluten free items on the menu.It did.We had a selection of items, all fresh, light and tasty.It might be hard to find, being up a flight of stairs but it is worthwhile and the prices quite reasonable.We have been twice and suspect it will be our new regular Thai.

We found this restaurant due to their being recommended for coeliacs and they did not disappoint, fantastic options, great fresh food all at a reasonable price. I think it's a shame they are slightly up and out of the way because they are easily missed!

My wife and I tried this restaurant, though we had been there before and were not impressed. We had poor food at a very expensive price. We paid the bill and left quickly. I would not recommend this place at all.

I'm new to the area so trying out a few places. This isn't one I'll return to unfortunately. The food was ok but only just. There was nothing special about it and as my son pointed out, it was a bit tasteless. Réservez une table maintenant

Took the $39.95 option. Two entrees two mains two wines. Could pick from 95% of menu. Delicate light and more than enough to eat. Great.
