Thaikhun offer great flavourful dishes at reasonable prices but what let them down was thier lack of customer service. The start of the experience consisted with me waiting at my table for over 25 minutes without being offered a drink, I had to call someone over who was clearing another table as clearly we had been forgotten about. I’d like to clarify that whilst the restaurant was busy other tables within our section were getting service. Ordered a jug of water for the table and a soft drink, the soft drink came straight away and then there was another long wait to which then only a glass of water was brought to the table rather than the jug we had requested as both of us wanted to hydrate....
I came to have lunch with two friends today. The waiters were very enthusiastic, but the manager who seemed to be named Poppy was very impatient. First of all, there was no greeting or courtesy at all when ordering, and the whole process was cold-faced, as if we owed her money. When checking out, one of my friends went to the front desk with his student card and was told that someone would be coming to the table. However, when the arrogant manager lady came to our side, she already had the receipt. Then my classmate said that he wanted to use the student discount. The lady refused us very rudely. She said that we should tell her that we need to use the discount when entering the restaurant,...
Previous excellent service here so booked for dinner. Bill payment was hasty. Offered a plus card (instead of BL) for benefits and then added on optional service charge without asking. Then when bill summary was queried after payment, waitress said sorry I should have asked if you wanted to add service charge and will return it. The waitress appeared to walk to front door then walked away as we were by the front door. Please can you kindly ask this waitress in the Southampton branch to not be hasty to get card tapped and ask how service was and if service optional charge is to be added. I am sorry we didn't feel the farewell and approach was not client-customer focused with this waitress.
Very nice meal but I was very disappointed to find out that the rice was an extra cost when I got the bill. I would’ve thought that the rice would be included in the price of the curry, especially because the waiter asked which rice I would like. £4.50 extra for rice when the curry is already more than £13 is steep.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The staff greeted us warmly, the service was excellent, and the food and cocktails were delicious. We definitely plan on coming back again.
