Thai is always a personal favourite and we have tried most dishes. This was our first visit to Thaisons with friends from the area. Thaisons have a number of signature dishes prepared the tradiitonal way that are well worth the visit. We selected a range of typical entrees (satay sticks, curry puffs, coconut prawns and spring rolls) washed down by a great red wine - and supported by a lifesaving airconditioner with Sunday 12 Feb being a scorcher. We all selected dishes from the Chefs Specials for our mains. I selected Volcano Chicken - chicken marinated in garlic, pepper and coriander and then grilled. What a taste sensation!!! Do keep in mind that it comes with perfectly grilled onions, but...
We saw this place on google and decided to check it out as it got the most stars for local Thai restaurants in the redlands area. We ordered the moneybags, curry puffs, spicy noodles, Phuket fried rice, sweet and sour barramundi and finished it off with mango sticky rice. This is definitely the best Thai food in the Cleveland Ormiston area.The only thing that could have improved was the service and time for food to come out. We were the only table at 5pm, and our food took a good 30-49 mins to come out. We know they were getting busy with take out customers, but it just seemed like we were pushed back to compensate the take out volume. No one checked on us to see how the food was or refilled...
Great positive was finding Thaison open late. A great range of dishes that catered for out diverse group however the meals lacked the extra wow factor to rate higher than 3 stars. Sweet chilli chicken with cashews was very oily and the pad thai lacked taste. Having said that, it may be worthwhile to dine in as the group we saw there wee having a great time.
Fantastic selection of authentic Thai food. We ordered over the phone and didn't have to wait long before picking it up. We had a pretty big group and had very decent sized servings that were reasonably priced too. The 5 different dishes we ordered were great! Also had a nice vegetarian dish and super delicious chicken gang Penang. Highly recommend it! Réservez une table maintenant
Whenever we want to celebrate something special or just wanting to have a fantastic Thai meal we can't go past Thaisons. We don't live locally but choose to go back time and again for the food and service. Money bags and Massaman are our favourites. Good to go in a group, that way you get to order more dishes and sample more of the delicious menu.
This restaurant is probably the best Thai in the redlands area. I ordered the spicy noodles and money bags and both were amazing. Our family really enjoyed this place, it is on the pricey side, but just remember the food tastes authentic Thai not like some other places that are basically Chinese disguised as Thai food. It will not disappoint.
This is our local Thai restaurant and they do a good trade here being usually busy most of the time. We never go past ordering the money bags which are delicious!Another favourite of ours is also the green curry (chicken) and coconut rice - a match made in heaven.I would highly recommend this as a nice dinner out!
My first time , I was greeted by a very friendly waitress who's product knowledge was impeccable as well as her customer service skills . The food was very fresh , Thai traditional and 5 stars for flavour . What surprised me was the very generous portions . I'll be back Réservez une table maintenant
