IFantastic place to eat. The staff are all super nice, great at their job and can’t do enough for you. One of the only places locally to get a pint of Orchard Pig so if you’re a cider fan this is the place for you. The food is always fantastic and the garden is a lovely place to sit and unwind after a hectic day. Tell them “two spoons” sent you, just mind your head on the way in …. The ceilings are rather low a very typical old English pub full of history!

I’ve used the Thatched Tavern on and off now over many (20+ years and it’s always a pleasure going back. I don’t think you could find a more charming pub with a well priced local food and beverage offering. We received a very warm welcome and we’re well looked after throughout our visit. The only thing that slightly disappointed on this occasion were the Cumberland sausages which although huge were quite bland tasting.

We stopped for lunch on our walk of the Great Park to find a pleasant pub in a picturesque setting. Surprisingly spacious with several connected rooms around a spacious bar. Only the two Cask-Ales we visited and the one sample was well conditioned and served by friendly staff. Small but sufficient menu. The food was well cooked and presented. An excellent lunch. Something on the expensive end.

I took my wife here for my birthday last night. It was a great night, the staff was fantastic, the waitress who served us was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, I had her Duck Scotch Egg, which was beautiful, followed by her Beef Wellington, which was also amazing. I cannot recommend this place very enough. I'll definitely be back for some more great food. Réservez une table maintenant

Absolutely wonderful gastropub in Ascot. The weather was perfect and happy for us it was not very busy (especially dinner), so we had almost all the beer garden for ourselves. Service was exceptional, and there are plenty of parking on site, although it seemed too busy when we left. Very recommended!

Sunday roast was excellent! Lamb roasts, nut roasts, pan grilled snapper, veges that came with roast in pictures below. Also the sticky toffee pudding was divine!

I can't blame this beautiful pub. a warm welcome from staff, dogs allowed on the bartic, a great Sunday roast and some beautiful weine on the glass.
