She had tuna fish and I had roast beef and provolone. Actually I had a provolone sandwich. The roast beef was inedible. I gagged trying to eat it. the staff and eating are great, but they come to 14 dollars for an 8in cheese steak and 9 dollars for some perpetrator bags with some tomato and a sprinkle of cheese definitiw not worth it. just because you are next to a school with elders who will pay, does not give you the right to calculate that with inflation too. 28 dollar for a person lunch after including the soda better turn that single dollar symbol to 4. pity on you. I live in east brunswick and our most expensive cheese steak is an 18in at 11,95 this deli is just a buck thieves
I've only been here once, but the place left an impression on me. There's a lot of options in Downtown Denville, so I never really noticed this place. Well, today, being a big Pink Floyd fan, the prism empanada logo kind of drew me in. I got one of the specials and the owner greeted me in a friendly fashion and even cleared my plate. I will be back again to try one of the quesadillas/empanadas next time. Cheers 53.
The 53 grill is on my top 10 favorite places to eat! The bourbon pulled pork empanada and smoked brisket quesadilla are to die for. Tom likes to experiment with his food and he does not disappoint. He's also very friendly and welcoming along with the staff. Please give them a try!

The sandwich was so poorly made and only put a tongue of cheese. The two girls working are working as if it’s their first time and are talking the whole time. I understand that we’re in the middle of a pandemic but at least attend to the clients a little better.
Excellent staff service, food was good for a quick bite, and loved all the old school Marvel themed walls. A tad bit expensive but overall excellent. Had chicken chorizo quesadillas and fiance had the special of the day cheese steak.
very good and great service! the brisket queensadilla was great and my children had cheese steak sandwiches that was delicious. I recommend eating at this place!
amazing empanada selection and jack daniels cheesteak is a must. very diverse lunch meal menu.
