today for lunch, was really delicious I had steak and ale cake and my man had cheeseburger. the food came out hot and the steak pee was the best I had for a long time. the staff was very pleasant. brian who served us was very helpful and polite. he showed us around the lazy on the side and I have booked to rent it for my 40th birthday meal, I look forward to it.
Our family celebrated the life of our mum at the Alston last Friday 18th Feb Michell, Chanel, Mark and the chef could not do enough for the family. It was a cold rainy windy day and a nice roaring fire welcomed us all. The buffet provided was very nice and also plentiful,. Thank you for help making this sad day end with laughter and memories.
I have to say, the food was excellent. The steak was outstanding and tasted heavenly, while the gravy truly complemented the dish. I would give this place even more stars if I could—it’s truly Michelin-level quality. I want to extend my gratitude to all the staff and the chef for such an incredible meal. It was the best I’ve ever had!

I visited this pub during a weekend getaway and had an amazing experience on Sunday. The food was fantastic, the prices were very reasonable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it!
The beer at Drowned Dock was truly excellent, definitely one of the best I've ever had! The homemade wine sauce was also delicious. I highly recommend making a trip to this place!
