"Went with friends who have previously been on steak night. I know steak can be expensive in pubs but this was well worth it! I have my steak Med-Well and this was perfectly cooked full of flavour and with juices."

Our first visit to The Anchor…meeting friends for a pre-Christmas meet up. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. We had pre-ordered our meals which when arrived. …we couldn’t believe our eyes. It was absolutely amazing and so tasty. Plenty of choice and the brussels arriving on the stalk was certainly a talking point. Sweets were divine and nice to see different choices. One of our friends commented that it was the best meal she had all year !! We all had a really enjoyable evening and will definitely be meeting there again. Thank you.
we stumbled randomly on the anchor when we look for somewhere, halfway between nottingham and leicester to meet friends for Sunday dinner. unbelievably the best lunch we've ever had. great value and so a warm welcome from lisa, paul. roast sirloin cooked by bark meat to perfection and served with an excellent selection of vegetables. lisas cheesecake with its chocolate biscuit base only delicious. we must die for a week to prepare for our next visit!
Sunday lunch is just fantastic value and a delicious traditional lunch. Beef offered rare, medium or well done, vegetables are served separately and must mention the cauliflower cheese. Deserts are all homemade and you are assured of a warm welcome by the owners. We go regularly from Nottingham and meet friends from Leicester
beautiful to see this village, has come the worst of covid and continue to offer beautiful eating, competitive price and served with a smile. family meeting of 14 served efficiently and timely to a great lunch. no hurry, no complain. 14 empty plates and 14 very satisfied customers. Thank you.
