WARNING IF YOU Suffer from gluten intolerance do not eat at the Angle. This year my wife and I have been out for 10 meals in a 20 mile radius of home, to various different pubs and Cafes, on all those occasions absolutely no issue with gluten contamination. The first time eating at the Angel within half an hour of the meal my wife was ill. We have had this problem at other venues, but the staff have always very apologetic and said we will review our food allergy preparation work Area. But not the Angel, they try to blame the wine, which by the way all wine is free of gluten.
Had a lovely evening catching up with friends. We all chose different meals and everyone said how much they enjoyed the food. We didn't realise at the time of booking, that Wednesdays is quiz night, and although we didn't actually take part we enjoyed guessing the answers. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The service provided was second to none
another 5* eat out, not to deliver the angel. fantastic Helloumi-Starter and the burger was as always first great. my wife had the new chicken and lauch cake that she loved and liked, how the cakes are now covered in a dish with baked and not only on the plate with baked plotted top, that is a plus. fantastic attentive service and great worth
The Angel has been in the same safe hands for 10 years now. Still a great atmosphere, lovely food and a friendly welcome. Good drink selection, ample parking, outside seating that catches the sun. Has it really been a decade since that first chip butty?!

The restaurant offers amazing food, excellent service, and is decorated with a collection of clocks on the walls. The haddock fish and chips with peas was delicious, and I would definitely return to dine here again.
Well, what can I say apart from absolutley fantanstic. Food was stunning, service was excellent. Plenty of car parking which is always a bonus. Well done. 5 star rating. Will be visiting again.
The food was delicious, the staff was fantastic - what more can I say? I highly recommend this restaurant.
The home-cooked dishes at this restaurant are absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.
