The Anglers - Réservation de table

We decided to go to the Anglers for lunch following a family event. None of us had been before, and the first thing that struck us was the layout. It was roomy, clean, and bright with plenty of space for the less mobile. Although it was fairly busy, we were quickly offered a table and the waitress took our drinks order. The menu had plenty of options and the food itself was excellent. Special mention to the prices. Four adult meals, one side, and a desert with drinks came to less than £85. Excellent value for money. The staff were polite, attentive and friendly, and our whole experience was first class from arriving to leaving. We will definitely be visiting again.

Once again we were back, four of us this time. The menu had been updated since our last visit so, instead of our usual macaroni cheese, we differed. I had Honey Chilli Chicken and it was delicious. Thursday lunch and it was full. We were glad we had booked as people were waiting for tables. No wonder. Food excellent and plentiful, staff great as always and nice surroundings. Thank you again Anglers for another outstanding lunch. 5 minutes away, how can you beat that. Prices, for those interested, very competitive too. Certainly well worth the money!!!!!! Naturally, being local, we will be back!!!!!!

Really nice bar which has obviously been refurbished and it looks well. The young girl behind the bar was really nice and friendly and the bar has a good selection of beers and spirits. Sadly the other’s customers in the bar stopped us from having more than a quick drink. Having to endure the people on the next table spoilt our night. Their learning of the English language appeared to have stopped when they got to f@ck which they used liberally and loudly.

I booked lunch for 4 people 2 kids and 3 adults the morning of the day we wanted to go, I received a quick response with a time that suited perfectly! We were warmly welcomed and shown our table. The service was quick (which is always good when you have kids with you). I ordered a chinese curry chicken wrap and it was phenomenal the portion size was brilliant and my belly was full! The food was value for money! I will definitely be back. Réservez une table maintenant

Often visit for lunch prior to cinema outing. Always find staff very pleasant and professional and standard of meals excellent. Best to book as The Anglers is very popular. Smaller portions are available but this isn’t advertised, only found out when ordering and happened to say to server that I didn’t think I could eat a full portion. Limited cakes and tray bakes at lunchtime, a pity as a main dessert can be too much.

Another lovely lunch at The Angler's today. The food is always tasty, it's very reasonably priced and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I have also had several afternoon teas and evening meals there too and have enjoyed every single one of them! Keep up the great work all of you! Ps great for evening entertainment at the weekend's too xx

Lovely afternoon tea with friends, busy but great friendly service. Food was fresh and lots of choice with the afternoon tea. The pub is clean and tidy and great price for afternoon teas and lunch.

First visit today Lunch was lovely place is clean ant the toilets are fresh and clean. Good food at a very reasonable price. Give it a try you will not be disappointed. Réservez une table maintenant

Went to the Anglers yesterday for Afternoon tea for the first time. Usually a bar meal but the Afternoon tea was beautiful. Highly recommend

Christina was very good made the night very enjoyable was chatty and made us want to keep buying drinks
