Fresh pasta was a lifesaver when I returned to Midd for a relaxing summer amid the pandemic. They also sell freezer-friendly cinnamon buns, scones, and cookies that you can bake later. We spent two days in this charming city, and on our last morning, we decided to have breakfast at Haymaker. The selection included a variety of pastries and three different drinks. I ordered an Americano, my brother had a drip coffee, and my mom opted for a latte. Everything was absolutely delicious! I feel so fortunate to have this wonderful restaurant in Middlebury! The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the menu features a mix of familiar favorites along with some amazing specials. The cocktails are fantastic too! It's a real treat to have curbside pickup available, allowing you to enjoy a drink to go with your meal. Highly recommend!
I've been ordering from the takeout menu, and the process for ordering and payment is quick and simple. The food always arrives hot and full of flavor. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always greet you with a smile. I highly recommend the food, and the patio is now open for reservations—what more could you ask for?

Once again, all the food and wine were delightful. The black ink seafood pasta was exceptional, and the Caesar salad was superb. The burrata pasta had a slight kick and was incredibly tasty. The gnocchi in tomato sauce was topped with delicious beets.
This is most likely my favorite place in Middlebury, beautiful river seating, wonderful homestyle and “modern-nordic” atmosphere, with simply delicious bungalows!
