The Artisan Café - Réservation de table

You can easily walk past this place as located down an alley. Looks small from the outside but unsurprisingly bug inside.Walking in you are not greeted by staff and left wondering whether to wait or just pick a table and sit: pick a table...You will need to get a menu from the counter...Nice interesting choices on the menu. The blackened chicken was nice but lacked any wow.The Turkish tikka was apparently pretty good...and the tart with pear salad very good.May try again for a breakfast rather than lunch...as know quite a few people that have been and enjoyed...so maybe just picked a bad day for staff and wrong meal choice.

We visited the Artisan cafe on a Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the Chicken Tikka with a bananna milk shake. The banana milkshake was great (used real bananas) but the chicken Tikka was bland! The Turkish bread was soggy topped with brown avocado and dry chicken. It was very disappointing. My husband ordered blackened chicken which he said was quite nice. Staff did not clear the plates until after you leave so we never had a chance to provide any constructive feed back. The Artisan Cafe is a nice cafe, displaying local art. But with such a large menu I think they are more focused on quantity rather than quality.

I thought it would be nice to take the family out to lunch somewhere in adelaide. Friends recomended a nice drive up to blackwood.After walking around i found a cafe down a side ally. ARTISAN. I dont mind spending money on quality food and service but this location is very over priced. And staff no smile. Food tasted good but not great. All it takes is a little salt pepper to season any meal.

Buried at the back of the shops, off the main street, not much signage!! It was first time for us, but shows that street front means diddley squat!! What a find! Beautiful food, Great coffee, and an atmosphere that says, we're locals, and love this place. If you come to Blackwood, seek it out!! I will be staggered if you are disappointed. 10 out of 10, and we will definitely be back!! Réservez une table maintenant

I live in the area and the Artisan is my go-to place for a weekend coffee or brunch with friends or family. Consistently very good coffee. Food is always good and sometimes very good. Ambience is lovely. I sit indoors if it's cold and outdoors if I take my dogs. There are usually local artworks on display.

We went to a function here where various people played music. There were 4 starters and 3 mains to choose from for $38 per head. I had roasted tomatoes on sourdough and then eggplant tagine and both were excellent. Despite the place bursting at the seams the staff did an excellent job

I've come here several times in the last 18 months, either for coffee with toast or cake, or else for wine. In all respects an outstanding cafe of its type. One of the few places I've came across where the black coffee is really enjoyable, and not too bitter.

We had bacon and eggs on sourdough with a side of avocado (real, half an avocado). Nice to sit inside or out. Bacon crispy and eggs well poached, produce sourced locally. Will return if in the area again. Réservez une table maintenant

I come here regularly with friends- and we are never disappointed! The quality of the produce is second to none! Service is always great too!
