Absolutely disgusting. Will never return there again. We attended for a family dinner with my two grandchildren aged and My grandson is diagnosed epilepsy adhd and autism. My granddaughter is autistic. My granddaughter can be loud and moves a lot. I...was told to make her sit down and behave. I explained she has autism and was told other children attend the bistro who have disabilities and they sit quietly. She is with a life long disability and the lack of understanding from the staff was something I have never encountered before tonight. Enjoyable early dinner. We were welcomed and taken to our comfortable window table. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, attentive without being intrusive.. The food was really good, better than I remembered having been a handful of times before. We had the chicken, fish and...chips, nasi goreng and a pizza. Big glasses of wine. Nice cosy ambiance. Unfortunately the lights were switched off at over our table (only us and other table still there) Quickly switched back on when they realised we were still there but think that was the cue to leave!! Will return.
Was looking for a place as a family to eat out. Decided late to try here and it was great. The menu is not too big, but had things that we all were happy to have. Service was excellent and the venue is very nice...with seating inside and out. There was live music playing that was perfect to enjoy and not take away from being able to talk to your group. Would and will be back!
visit and it was just as good as the first visit several weeks ago . Can’t believe the bad reviews. We drove from Vic Pk . Nearly hours drive. We had great service and the food was delicious. Hubby had the chicken dish..., I had the fish chips. It was a large serve and I could not finish it . Friends had the sausage dish and the pork belly. All were delicious.

Went here for the seniors lunch. Very dissatisfied. We both ordered the fish n chips. The fish was hidden in the batter,over done. The chips were salty tasteless. Not even a bit of salad or dressing on the plate . We will be going...to our regular pub where we get much better value food as well as presentation. Not good enough Ashby Tavern.
We had heard that the Ashby had great chicken parmis, so decided to see for ourself! It was a good size meal, and tasted great! We also ordered the garlic bread which was nice too. The menu was well priced, had a variety of options...and the venue was nice and big. Wouldn’t mind going back to try out different meals.
Don't go there on Tuesday if you're not from Ashby limited menu only. locals get a second menu with considerable discounts very poor from the Ashby as other close by suburbs support it as much or if not more. no more from us or our...family star from a very average meal as well. stay at The Duke Carramar residents!!
My family have been to the Ashby four times in December and I can honestly say I can’t fault the food. It’s very much improved since the new menu. My husband and I have been working through the menu and everything we’ve already had we...would order again. Bar staff are all friendly. Great place to come

Tonight we dined in the Garden Bar and the whole evening was awesome! Delicious drinks and the food by the new chef was to die for (we had a seafood tasting plate and duo of gnocchi) with live music and friendly staff we feel...stoked this is our local!
One of the worst experiences we have had in a long time. The waitress was well past her used by date. The food was average with the tortellini having been in for the next soles for my shoes. Don’t go!
