One of the standout features was their extensive beer list. Not only was it long, but each selection also had ratings next to it, likely sourced from Untappd. I wish every establishment would provide something like this! I couldn’t help but chuckle at the sign announcing the Best Bartender award from 2021, as voted by the readers of the Bedford Gazette—a charming touch for a small-town bar. I didn’t catch the name of the bartender who served me, but I was really impressed by his friendliness and attentiveness. It really hit home that I was far from NJ!

The best included breakfast ever. Very nice historic inn. Rooms are nice and fit in with the history of the property. The best part of our stay was the food. Very upscale dishes at reasonable prices. The included breakfast of bacon, sausage, blueberry pancakes, and assorted fruit was fantastic. Our dinner of scallops and blackened Mahi with shrimp were also excellent. Owner and staff were very nice and take obvious pride in what they do. Safety: Never felt unsafe. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Romantic

If you want to get yelled at by the owner this is the place for you. We came for lunch with a group of 16 people with reservations. What the lady from our group forgot to tell us was that they can only check us out as groups of 8. After getting there some of the couples and mother daughters wanted on the same check. That is when the oh so hospitable owner showed up yelling. Thankfully the wait and kitchen staff found a way to split the checks. Never again. Food drinks: The food was pretty good. Very limited menu.

We were pleased with the service and food. We had a flatbread pizza and fried clams. Both were quite delicious.
