Terrible service no specials My husband and I went there last night with our friends as it was our friends birthday. We checked on the net for the specials and $17 rump and chicken breast was clearly advertised. Firstly our friend wanted a glass of Amberley Chenin Blanc  and the young girl behind the bar said she had never heard of it. When  we looked  it was at the bottom of the list. The girl was not bothered and not interested. Then we asked the surly waitress if we could order the specials of rump. She said they didn't have specials and the steaks would oost us $28. We told her the steaks advertised on a Wednesday night were the $17 rumps and we wanted 4 of those. By this...

Went here on Monday for a quiz night.  We were told they were doing quiz nights now because they were trying to get people in on Mondays.  Last time I'd been on a Monday, it was packed (as was usual back then) so I didn't understand why they were struggling for business at first.   I ordered a Caesar salad for $19.  I've never had a tasteless Casear salad before then.  Even the anchovies lacked flavour - I'm not sure how they managed that.  The dressing had some sort of lemony taste to it.   Bleh.  The only good thing about it was the lettuce wasn't all stalk, there were plenty of leafy bits. My daughter had Seafood Chowder - I tried some and wasn't...

Greeted with, "sit where you want, order at the counter". I would say we were seated under a speaker but music was too loud as I moved around to order. Waitress who took my order was kurt "table number?" , she knew I was a table of 4 but from the moment I ordered the first dish she insisted "anything else!" Politely mentioned yes there is more, we are four, kept up the "anything else" clueless about the menu, no idea about if serving sizes where suitable to share, didn't bother to further enqire in the end. My children ate free with each main meal, fish and chips, chips where dry, fish was crisp and moist. I ordered salt and pepper squid, menu read it was served with a fennel citrus salad, l...

I was a bit concerned about previous reviews however we couldn't have asked for much better.  Most of the staff (except for one rude lady at the bar) were friendly, efficient and helpful. I had the steak and it was absolutely delicious!  My husband had the chicken parmigana and he did say it didn't have a lot of sauce, but wasn't unhappy. The staff were very happy for us to bring our own cake in, and checked with us if we were ready for it.Overall very happy and would return!

I've been to The Bailey heaps of times. It's one of my locals. I've enjoyed most meals here but it's always been standard pub fare until just now. I want to say 'new chef': the menu is the same but now 2 nights in a row I've been electrified by the presentation and the taste of the same old menu I've been pillaging for the last 2years. The screens here hint at a new menu which I read as 'new chef' and really, I'm excited! This will be my go-to now instead of my alternative.

We arrived at 7:30 on a Friday night & there wasn't much atmosphere at first (it's a big place!) but it got busy quite quickly. The food was surprisingly good; I had a steak & it was cooked perfectly. The drinks were reasonably priced ($26 for house sparkling was great value). And then at 9 the band Hi-NRG came on & brought the house down. Top night! Réservez une table maintenant

We went here for lunch today and I was so impressed! I absolutely loved every piece of food that went in my mouth. The atmosphere was so nice and relaxed. The staff were friendly. I didn't want to go home. It's a pity that I live so far away or else I'd be there every day
