The Ballroom Spiderhouse

The Ballroom is probably one of my favorite spots in Austin. As a band videographer, I end up here and at the Mohawk fairly often. Ballroom has a nice stage, decently priced drinks, and the food trucks parked outside may be the best part. There are vegan options and a halal truck with VERY GOOD PRICES. I got a burger for $8 in Austin, that 's incredible.The DIY culture and metal bands love to come here and it 's easy to see why. The low ceiling creates an intimate setting with the perfomers. With excellent lights+fx, things are only improved further when you hear how the bands sound. Falcon from Being Dead has declared Ballroom 's audio engineer as the best in the world and that 's something...

I went to go see a show here Friday, May 31st and location, service and staff were DEPLORABLE!!! The bathroom smelled like urine. You could tell it had not been cleaned in days. The drinks were horrible and watered down. The bartender was rude and had an attitude. How is this business still standing with such below standard service? Do people not have self-respect that they would continue to patronize such a place? They violated so many health and safety codes due to the condition of that bathroom. Never ?? again. Horrible. Despicable. Disgusting.

Nice place, good atmosphere (how could you go wrong with gold angels? , staff seems friendly, good sound, lighting could be better on stage. My main beef with this place and it’s important is that two of the last three shows I’ve gone to have not gone down timewise how they were promoted, causing me to miss a band that I really wanted to see last time

This place is cool at night, but that's two times now that I try to come for coffee in the afternoon and they're closed.Today I came in and there was nobody at the counter even though it says coffee from 10am-6pm and it looks like it was just a private event. This is a fantastic place to catch a live show and enjoy some music. The venue has a cozy, intimate atmosphere that makes it truly special. The energy is vibrant and enjoyable, and the patrons are extremely friendly.

This venue offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere for performances, which is a wonderful aspect. The staff are friendly, and I felt secure during my visit. However, there is limited on-site parking.

Cool venue. Went to see Lip Critic for their SxSW protest performance. Two stages were set up for multiple performers and the sound was great. Drinks were a bit expensive. Réservez une table maintenant

Decent size event room with a great bar and outdoor seating. They also had a few food trucks right out the door which was very convenient.
