My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant for her birthday dinner. Unfortunately, we found the food menu to be very basic and limited. The kitchen made a mess of a simple BLT sandwich, which I only took three bites of before giving up. The portion of french fries was extremely small and consisted mostly of broken scraps. The communication between the table server and food servers was poor, with our flatware forgotten three times during our meal. My first cocktail, the Honey '75, was undrinkable. Our server was attentive and apologetic, but the manager did not address the issues until we were already leaving. The atmosphere was decent at first, but it quickly deteriorated as college student...
We had something for everyone at our recent trip to the Berkshires. We stayed at the Williams Inn and dined at The Barn, The Gas House. Our experience lived up to the great reviews of this hidden gem in Williamstown. Allie at the bar surprised us with unique and delicious cocktails that were like works of art. The menu had a variety of interesting options that pleased everyone. The sweet chili cauliflower was especially amazing, and I recommend trying the udon noodle soup as well. Both the inn and the restaurant exceeded our expectations.
Atmosphere is nice but the food is not the best and pretty overpriced for what you’re getting. We were convinced to get the short ribs as the waiter said they’d “melt in your mouth” which they definitely did not. We paid over $90 for two people with one drink, no apps, and a salad as our other meal aside from the short ribs. If the food was great I wouldn’t care about the price but we were underwhelmed. Gregg is an amazing bartender who is knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming. He makes everyone feel like a regular customer. The Barn, like the rest of the hotel, is cozy and warm. The bread and butter alone are worth a visit. Overall, the service is excellent, with a rating of 5. The atmosphere is also top-notch, with a rating of 5. The food is delicious, with a rating of 4. The food was fine, but the service was unbelievably slow. The staff was very nice and apologetic about it, but this was very unexpected. We were there an hour and still didn't have any food! This restaurant offers excellent vegan options and has a lovely atmosphere. The service is top-notch as well. We dined in for lunch and were very pleased with the experience. Just a huge disappointment. Asked to be seated near window and were told it wasn’t possible because they were combining tables. Then they sat three other couples at those tables separately.
