The Barnyard Restaurant

Visited yesterday for lunch. All of the food was amazing the roast potatoes were particularly good! Our main waitress Megan was really lovely, really helpful and friendly. And the Barnyard is always a lovely setting to go to. So all that stuff was great. Everything started off fairly quick but towards the end plates were left for a long time, and ordering coffess desserts seemed to take a long time too, and bringing over the bill was hard work. I think there is just some misunderstanding between staff on the new rules. The sign on table says bill must be brought to table and paid on one card. Went for afternoon tea for my 60th birthday for 10 people, the food was love,y and very fresh. The only thing was it was a really hot day and we asked for extra lemon quash as we didn’t want lots of tea or coffee, they gave us two jugs but then charged us £3.50 for each jug, I think this was bad as paid £20 each the cold drinks should have been free. Also one person was not eating and they had paid a £29 deposit they said they would take it off the drinks but they didn’t, said we lost the deposit . Which I think was unfair. Also two people wanted extra sausages roll and they charged us £10 which I think was expensive, can’t fault the food or setting as love,y place to go.

After much deliberation, I decided on a panini with Swiss cheese, ham, and pesto, which was delicious. It was accompanied by a salad and the best chips I have ever had. My husband opted for the ploughman's, which was very plentiful. Overall, we had an excellent lunch at this equally excellent restaurant. I highly recommend it.

Decided to take parents out for Sunday breakfast, what an amazing place beautiful surroundings so peaceful. The service was very professional and in line with COVID guidelines. Can not fault the food we all had breakfast which was delicious and plentiful. Will definitely be back for afternoon tea! Réservez une table maintenant

Been previously and was pleased with high tea so thought try festive Christmas tea. Quite disappointed. Was expecting free flowing wine and prosecco but had keep asking for new bottles. Also only got given glasses of wine rather than whole bottle when supposed to be...

Decided on an impromptu breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. My daughter was in her element for pancakes, maple syrup and bacon and what a pile she got! Lovely seeded bread with fresh avocado and eggs for me and proper English for the man of the house!!...

We had our company Festive lunch here yesterday and also we had booked a table for a group of friends for the Christmas Mixed Party night last Saturday. On both occasions everything was really good. I can’t really believe the bad reviews I am reading...

We returned to The Barnyard for the first time since our wedding there last year for an anniversary lunch for the two of us. As expected the location is perfect and the lunch was lovely. We can always recommend it. I had the ploughman’s lunch... Réservez une table maintenant

Visited The Barnyard for a festive afternoon tea this evening, and we were so impressed. The afternoon tea is really reasonably priced, and l the food is delicious. Service is amazing and the restaurant is beautiful as well. :

Disappointed in lunch.food could have been hotter and very expensive £47 for 2 adults.now lost our custom such a shame as lovely place to visit and pleasant staff.
