The Battle Of Trafalgar

Down from London to Worthing for work, I felt a burning need to head to Brighton as a balm for my woes; a friend of mine recommended the Battle of Trafalgar as somewhere to go; I am so glad I listened to him (a rare occasion ! The team were fabulous, the food was really lovely (I had calamari and my word was that tasty; we all know how bland that can be but this *chef’s kiss*! and, although I’m comparing to London prices, a large glass of red wine was happily inexpensive! Music was wonderful too I fear I made quite a fool myself lip synching to ZZ Top’s ‘Sharp Dressed Man’ (sorry! tldr: try the Battle of Trafalgar pub. I did, and did not regret it one iota.

What a great pub! NoTV or loud music...just comfy seating, a warm welcome, reasonably-prices drinks and a great selection of food. Add to that, the wonderful landlady, Mel and her trusted assistant, Liz. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I highly recommend The Trafalgar for just a drink or for a great meal served in wonderful ambience.

There's a lot of competition among pubs in Brighton, there are at least five or six within a gentle stagger of the railway station, but this is a great pub with friendly staff, a good range of beers and a lovely old school vibe. Every time I come to Brighton I try to visit at least once.

Went in for an old friends reunion.Excellent choice of venue.Really cool atmosphere,friendly staff and excellent food. Be warned though,don't sit by the toilets door as it opens outwards but apart from that ,couldn't fault it.

We tried the new menu on Friday. We had whitebait and burgers. The fish was lovely and fresh and the burgers were succulent. We'll be back.
