what means to call for a because - without reservation, but early were met with a friendly welcome- helpful and professional. great real pub environment and a short but different menu. Not the extensive pages of eating, but really interesting decisions. the chips were the crispy of all time and the cloged a light crispy teig! ham hock was made to house solid fleshy taste with delicious relish and crispy sourned slices crumbled butter. has a couple of braids as extra. will definitely return.
I had lunch on Boxing Day today and had to wait a bit for the food, which was clearly cooked to order. My husband had a perfectly cooked steak, and both him and my daughter really enjoyed the exceptional beef dripping chips. The roast butternut squash risotto was divine, with the rice having a good bite and perfect seasoning. We were very happy with the meal and the service was great. It was our first visit but we will definitely be returning!
This restaurant is truly a unique gem with so much character. The atmosphere is classy and reminiscent of an old-world pub. I had to stop by for a drink and was greeted by friendly staff and stunning surroundings. I found out that it is a CAMRA-certified pub, and they also offer private dining experiences. Overall, a fantastic place to visit.
Great pub in a small heritage area of Rochdale. Lots of woodwork. Pub looks old but don't know if it is. Lovely, friendly staff. Selection of real ales on handpump. Good selection of foreign beers including quite a few from Belgium. Leffe on draft. Food is delicious. Beer garden at back. This is a hidden gem, try it.
