The laksa on the lunch menu is the best I have ever had including in Thailand! Brilliantly flavoured and spiced coconut soup filled with fish, prawns, chicken and noodles. The restaurant has a most scenic outlook across the estuary of the Derwent, right on the...beach, one of the best waterside locations in the greater Hobart area. This is a well run restaurant, run by highly experienced people who know exactly what they are doing. This is reflected in ever aspect of their operations, in the superb overall quality of their food, the inspiring menus and the outstanding service. Its one of those places you could comfortably sit and while away endless hours in with an extensive wine and drinks...
we visited for lunch and enjoyed all the asspects of the culinary experience. although we had not booked, the friendly and professional staff quickly organized a beautiful table. the restaurant has large windows with panoramic views over the beach, offers a magnificent ambiente and a pleasant atmosphere...for all mozens. the food was very good and the service was fast, despite almost a complete house for lunchtime. this is obviously a popular regular culinary experience for the locals in blackmabs bay, and it was easy to see why they always come for more! great food, good service, wonderful views of the beach and atmosphere, plus simple parking at the doorstep. we plan to make this a regular...
The food here has amazing flavours that linger in your mouth a while later. The food was so beautifully presented and was so fresh. The best seafood and pork I have ever tasted. Erin the owner was so attentive and her staff and the Chefs...cook five star level. We will definitely tell all our friends from Central Coast to visit and enjoy. Such amazing views over the ocean at Blackmans Bay. We had squid as sweet and sour entree with cucumbers puckled and an amazing sauce. I use to enjoy visiting this place to have lunch, especially for the pizzas. Today was disappointing with my lunch came as a small portion of it's not cheap didn't like what I saw and didn't like the taste I could have cooked it better...at home. Also the menu it's not exciting at all there's not much to choose from at all. But the only great thing about this restaurant is the owners are lovely and especially the waitresses great excellent service well-done guys. Réservez une table maintenant
great service super. but maybe that's changed? we visited for lunch at the birthday of my wife in juli 2022. the menu had changed significantly since our last visit and not better! old favorites of steak, fish and chips, pizza and burger. have been replaced by high price yuppie food. I tried to find everything on the menu I liked. a great shame that we will not return.
they love the choice of small, medium and large meal times. we had two shared tapis. I had the Prawnand-Crayfish-Pate just to die. my partner had reported the great seafood linguine to be maginifcant sauce, and enough for 2. a shred bottle. a perfect drinker. the service was amazing that always someone seemed happy. a MUST!111
fantastic meal and service. hard to choose a favorite, but the cauliflower tacos, arancini and the gnocchi were amazing. extensive menu based on plants, the best I saw in a mainstream restaurant. the quality of the food was finer dining table in a more casual...and relaxed atmosphere.
Great range on the menu with moderate prices, there was sweet or savoury choices too. All the outside dining was reserved so we ate inside, wood fire adds to a cosy atmosphere. I wouldn't say it was the best breakfast around but it was good...and different. Réservez une table maintenant
