We stopped in for a couple of drinks when out walking the dog (Note: Dog friendly venue! on a Friday evening around 6pm. Great location in terms of near the train station but would be a bit limited for drivers as you'd have to park on street somewhere. It was pretty busy when we arrived and continually got busier for the hour or so we were there. Reasonable seating area inside but plenty more outside which I think was undercover and possibly with heaters too. Great variety of beers ales, etc., at a reasonable price. We didn't have food but numerous people had pizzas, all of which looked pretty good! Definitely worth a visit
This was my third time in the Beer House. We call in when visiting friends in Bury St Edmunds. I was in Bury to go to the Ipswich v Middlesbrough game. We called in both nights to this very nice pub with the friendliest landlord in Bury. He serves quality drinks in a beautiful beer garden with heaters to warm you if gets a little cold. We also brought in pizza's from the shop next door which are excellent with a cold beer. I think he is now a converted Boro fan and is welcome up north anytime Ipswich play in Middlesbrough. Do yourself a favour if you are in Bury St Edmunds go to the beer house. You will not be disappointed.
The beerhouse is one of the best bars in Bury St Edmunds. The staff are so friendly and the selection of beers are great. I love the atmosphere. Great for meeting with friends or having a beer at the bar on your own. It's also dog friendly.
Always a decent pub with an ever changing selection of beers and ciders to keep things interesting. Excellent beer garden to enjoy in all weather. Good music and brilliant staff. Our favourite local in Bury!

We had lovely experience from the moment we arrived the staff were so welcoming and attentive. Their knowledge of the number of craft beers etc was extensive and led to a very enjoyable experience.
Didn't try the food, but the new taco shop looks awesome and the outside courtyard had plenty of seating with rain coverage which can be key with the unpredictable british weather
Doesn't take cash which always annoys me. Good range of beers. Other drinks available too. Much of the seating is fairly uncomfortable benches.
The four of us were away for the weekend enjoyed the beers that were served plus the atmosphere friendly staff

Decent pub, probably the best in Bury. Prices are decent and selection is always changing
Service was good place a bit empty though (Weds evening 10pm) Good selection of beers.
