We stumbled upon this pub by chance while searching for a place to escape the midday heat with our dog and grab a bite to eat. What a fortunate discovery! It's a very friendly and welcoming spot, not only for dogs but also for their owners. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions - some of the best pub fare we've had in a long time. It may take a bit of navigation to locate the pub, but it's well worth the effort. We were not disappointed and will certainly be returning.
excellent pub in the village of Parkham. Nightmare to get to down some dubious country roads (expect zombie cows) but worth a visit. Missus had her usual fish chips and I had the steak in ale pie both were excellent and plenty of it served on hot plates. The only drawback was we were seated near the door and it was blowing a gale and lashing down so we were regularly chilled so could've done with the log fires being lit.Apart from that it was a solid evening.
On holiday and no more than 80 mtrs from The Bell Inn, so 7 of my family rocked up for Sunday lunch. Staff were very accommodating and friendly, the food was cooked superbly and tasted delicious. It’s very easy to mess up a Sunday roast and I’ve had some bad ones. However, this definitely wasn’t messed up. The best we’ve ever had and great value for money. You will not be disappointed if you give it a visit. You have been told!
Very welcoming, good service and outstanding food especially the homemade steak pies and amazing chips. . All 7 of our party were delighted with their meals. It was my son' s 16th birthday and the land lady was extremely pleasant and happy to bring put the cake etc. Highly recommended . Well above the average pub grub. Thanks very much. During our week in Bideford with friends, we dined at this charming and welcoming pub three times - twice for dinner and once for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and the staff were fantastic. Our holiday rental was conveniently located across from the pub, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
