This was our 2nd visit to this property. On the plus side, the rooms are very quiet and relatively clean front desk staff friendly and welcoming. The floor in front of the coffee bar in the room was a bit sticky and I found a dead spider and a couple of ladybugs on the floor upon occupying. Although the room had a private balcony, had the weather been nice enough to go outside, we wouldn't have been able to. The door was swollen shut. Other signs of neglected exterior and interior maintenance were noted. The towel heater in the bathroom wasn't working. Plus one of the bath towels had dirt/dust on it that looked like it had been hanging on the rack for a very long time (I showed it to the fro...
We made last minute reservations to stay at this facility for a weekend race when all the usual chain hotels were booked. We found that we enjoyed this property much more than the typical brand hotels. The staff was fantastic, allowing us to walk around and enjoy the great history of the main building. There are several options for dining and drinking, with the classic and beautiful historical main building housing a library and a white table cloth restaurant (which is not always open). The wing of the building has a more casual interior or exterior dining area, and the basement hosts many fun events in the evenings. We went here for a destination wedding and were totally disappointed. The wedding planner placed us outside in the heat at the wedding instead of placing the entire party in the air conditioning. We also missed the entire reception because were were with other tables outside instead of placing all the tables inside the room where the reception was held. The hotel was nice but there were no activities at the hotel and we as well as the other participants at the wedding complained about the lack of activities. The breakfast at the hotel was the worst Old Hard danishes ever. There was only one restaurant in this hotel in the middle of nowhere and it was okay but we would expect better with mult...
We had an incredible weekend at the Berry Hill Resort. We just returned from a very busy 4-day family gathering with 70 people, and I must say that Berry Hill went above and beyond in taking care of us. The staff made sure we felt well looked after throughout our stay. The rooms were beautifully decorated and steeped in history. We had a great time exploring the trails, playing pickleball, and swimming in the indoor pool. All of our meals were delicious and served promptly. We never felt the need to leave the resort as everything we needed was right there. My wife and I stayed at Berry Hill mid March and the stay was excellent. Friendly staff and the spa was great. I did not find a lot of reviews on the spa so I wanted to put a review out there to say how good my massage and my wife's massage were. Agnes was great and my wife commented on how she did not have to tell her how to adjust the pressure she wanted for the massage. The food was great at the Dabney Tavern. I had the Fried Catfish and it was delicious. It was great we could bring our dog also. Beautiful grounds to walk and explore. Go into town to the Southern Plenty cafe for coffee and breakfast. It is a nice place to relax.
I had my dream wedding at The Berry Hill Resort Conference Center in June of 2021. Since I was a young girl I knew I wanted to be married there, and I thought it would be great, but boy did it exceed my “great” expectations. From my coordinator, Steven, (as well as Leigh Ann), to every minor detail that was brought to attention, it all was PERFECT. Not only was I impressed as the bride, but each family member and guest are still talking about my wedding thanks to all the Berry Hill staff supplied. It was a fairytale, and I highly recommend this establishment from staying as a resort guest, to hosting your big day there.
I recently stayed at Berry Hill and attended a wedding there. The resort is beautiful, a perfect setting for a wedding. We never left the resort all weekend. Our hotel stay was great, the rooms were clean, and the staff was most helpful. We ate at Darby's Tavern and the food was AMAZING, my favorite was the Tavern Burger! Thank you, Berry Hill, for your hospitality. I can't wait until my next visit!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is very helpful. It is the perfect place to enjoy some time outdoors in a beautiful setting. It is also a great escape from city life, allowing you to relax in a peaceful environment. The restaurant offers a quiet luxury with large dining areas, a sauna, and delicious meals.
