The Bervie Chipper was recommended by a friend. We travel all over Scotland sampling the various foods available. So on our way back down from Aberdeen we were starving by the time we arrived in Inverbervie. The restaurant was dark, the lights weren't switched on yet. The food was ready in under 10 minutes, was freshly cooked and piping hot. We headed down to the carpark overlooking Inverbervie Bay. (Beautiful) I like my chips to be thoroughly cooked. I’m not usually a fan of chips, but we decided to stop here on our way back from Stonehaven. I have to say, the haggis and white pudding were the best I’ve ever tasted! The chips were just average, and the place was quite empty, though the staff appeared to be overwhelmed behind the scenes. The girl who took our order seemed a bit flustered. Nevertheless, I really can’t complain about anything—the food was fantastic. Overall rating: 5.
Absolutely delicious fish supper. Massive portion of yummy fish, in a perfect batter. The chips are darker than most, but that’s the way we like them, not pale and greasy.
