I visited the Bieldside Inn with a family group to celebrate my mother in law's 90th birthday. I had not been there before so I was taking a bit of risk but I'm glad to say the risk paid off. Starting with the staff, the service was truly excellent. They were attentive and nothing was too much for them. We had a number of surprises lined up for my mother in law and the cooperated with all of them. Service was also quick and we were asked often if we would like more drinks which always came quickly. Secondly, the food was tremendous. The menu is not the longest or most elaborate but the food we had was certainly top level. I had the Sunday beef roast which was one of the best roast dinners I have ever had. Thick slices of pink beef as requested with home made Yorkshire pudding served with mixed vegetables, roast potatoes with a local touch added in the shape of some mealy pudding. Others had the coconut curry, the scampi and the steak pie all of which had excellent reviews. The layout in the restaurant is spacious and the glass wall means that there is a nice brightness and there is a balcony for those who wish to smoke and a car park at the rear. The location on the main road in to Aberdeen from Deeside is also very handy. Prices are pretty average for the area Overall I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant especially if the roast dinner is being served.
