By far the best pub on the high street. Great outdoor space at the back with booths, TVs, heaters, outdoor bar, DJs. Good mixed crowd. Super busy on a weekend, especially a Saturday but always a friendly and lively vibe. £3.50 happy hour 5-7pm Mon to Fri with lots of drinks to choose from including cocktails. Food is great too. But it's the staff who make this place. The whole team are brilliant, always up for a laugh and will go the extra mile. Pub quiz is good fun on a Wed night with Izzy. Particular mention for Callum and Jody (the interlopers from the south) for making me and the family so welcome. Oh and for Charles on the door who is prob the smiliest nicest guy yer ever likely to meet...
Great lunch today thanks Ladies, nice and cosy with the real fire and Christmas decorations Popped in again today for lunch with friends. Has an atmosphere but needs a refurb. Bar area smelt. Another average pub charging premium prices. Way behind city pubs but feel they can charge you city prices.
