The Black Toro - Réservation de table

Black Toro was one of the earlier Latin American restaurants to hit Melbourne’s contemporary dining scene. It opened back in 2012 in Glen Waverley and has just launched a second inner-city venue on the Windsor end of Chapel Street. Black Toro Windsor (formerly Shukah) is a blessing for those who appreciate well-executed Latin street food but don’t want to travel quite as far East to get it. The menu is similar if not slightly more extensive than Glen Waverley, showcasing snacks, tacos, tostadas and a selection of mostly meaty mains.

Interesting place hidden on Kingsway Glen Waverley. <br/ <br/ Staff were polite and attentive . <br/ <br/ Service 5/5<br/ Atmosphere 5/5<br/ Food 3/5 -1 for size)<br/ Price 3/5<br/ <br/ Small portions for mains and more like tasting plates for their medium.<br/ <br/ Ordered their fish and beef cheeks.<br/ Fish 4/5 <br/ Beef cheeks 2/5 <br/ The presentation was bit lacking .. spring onion strip . Tough and corn salsa needs a bit more work.<br/ <br/ <br/

After reading all the positive reviews about The Black Toro, I was pretty excited to try it! <br/ We started with the Jalapeño Cheese Croquettes, White Fish Ceviche and the Prawn Quesadilla! (AMAZING! <br/ Also pictured were the Soft Shell Tacos and Wagyu Beef Sliders.<br/ This restaurant did not disappoint at all! Service was fantastic and quick, the food was faultless. <br/ I can’t wait to come back!<br/

Little place but not squishy, good space and a beautiful bar . Delicate and good tasty Mexican food. Have to try their mocktail with passion fruit !!! And the salmon tartare with fried nori is also special and fantastic !!! The tempera fish taco is so yummy !!!They also have outside sitting with heater on Réservez une table maintenant

another western restaurant on the kingsway strip, the black toro specialises in meat!! the prices are a little steep but you get great, friendly service and high quality food every time. would recommend coming here for a special occasion or date.

Started the night with a red wine sangria. It definitely hit the spot. Ordered the lamb barbocoa in banana leaf which came with pickles, salsa and tortilla. The lamb was exquisitely soft and fell apart.

Came here for hubby birthday dinner. The food was delicious and so fresh.The taco was superb and dessert is yummy.Friendly staff and good service too.
