I am writing to complain about the unacceptable treatment that I received. I eat in restaurants on a regular basis and due to my very busy schedule , I rarely make any comments on any internet sites. To mention the plus-point, the food quality was excellent. The restaurant certainly deserves its Gault-Millaus points. This rating system is strictly based on the quality of the food. Service, price and ambience are unfortunately not taken into account and usually commented on separately. If you are looking for excellent food, but affordable, then this is not the place to go to. What bothered me the most, was that I was charged 6 Franks for tap water which I ordered for my well-behaved toddler. This costed more than the softdrinks. Apparently this is not noted in the drinks menu which they refused to show me. I complained to the waiter who didn't even thank me for the generous tip. The head waiter (owner) spoke to me in a very demeaning fashion. Despite paying an enormous amount for the meal, he interpreted my complaint as a "looking for a free meal attitude". He suggested that I should rather go to Coop or Migros restaurants as there I won't be charged for water. He then told me off saying I should rather stay home and never come eat there again. Despicable and primitive behaviour!
Nach einem Klick in die Web-Speisekarte war klar, dass ich das Restaurant einfach testen muss! Die Karte hat absolut nicht zu viel versprochen, das Essen war absolute Spitzenklasse. Auch das Interieur des Blinkers hat mich persönlich überzeugt. Ein solches Schmuckstück inmitten eines Industriequartiers. Leider leider leider (!!!) war der Service auf einer ganz anderen Spur, als das tolle Essen. Von 14 GM-Punkten kann man doch erwarten, dass eine entsprechende Begrüssung (und Verabschiedung!!) stattfindet, bei Regenwetter (oder jedem Wetter) die Jacke abgenommen wird und man sich besonders um seine Gäste kümmert? Beim Blinker war das leider ganz anders. Wir wurden dann gefragt, ob ein Apéro gewünscht wird. Auf meine Antwort "ob es denn eine Empfehlung vom Haus gäbe" wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass der Aperol Spitz noch gut laufe. Okay, auch hier hätte ich mir mehr erhofft. Der Catch of the day von Fisch und Fleisch auf der Karte machte mich neugierig. Erklärt wurde dieser aber erst nachdem ich natürlich danach gefragt habe. Man hätte mir hier einiges mehr verkaufen können, schade um die gute Küche, schade um den Blinker. Würde ja eigentlich gerne wieder hin, aber es gehören halt auch hier immer zwei dazu: und das sind bei mir das super Essen und ein top Service.
Das Essen war vielleicht gut, doch es war zu teuer. Sie verrechneten mir 6 Fr. nur für 1 L Hahnenwasser. Ich wollte den Chef fragen, ob das sein kann und schon ging er auf uns los. Er schrie: Wenn ihr gratis Essen wollt esst zu Hause oder im Migros. KOMMT NIE MEHR HIER HER!!! Sehr respektlos, obwohl wir das Essen schon bezahlt haben. Das Essen insgesamt war ungefähr 150Fr. nur für 2 Personen. Wenn man das hört, glaubt man, dass das Essen gross wäre, doch es war sehr minimalistisch. Die Kellner waren jedoch relativ freundlich. Wie ich es oben ausgedrückt habe. ICH GEHE NIE MEHR DORT HIN!!!
Wir geniessen immer wieder mit allen Sinnen ein Dinner oder einen Lunch im Blinker. Vom Apéro Champagner bis zum Black Coffee stimmt einfach alles. Atmosphäre, Stimmung, Küche, das Weinangebot und ganz besonders der Service einfach stimmig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
