The best pub in Walton on the Hill. The service is friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. Dogs are welcome but don't seems to get in the way. We really enjoyed our outing to the Blue Ball and the local walks are beautiful Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with an helpful menu of kid's staple favourites such as chicken nuggets and beef burgers home cooked freshly by the chef. Price per person: £10–20
I ordered haddock and chips for me (ok but not exceptional) and (as advised by the waitress) chicken and asparagus pie for my partner. We were not advised anything (the waitress said she knew nothing) but the pie had been changed to a beef pie, which seemed old and tough. Not acceptable. Parking: Excellent. Went at a quiet time of day midweek. Plenty of room between tables and a wood burning fire in the centre of the restaurant for cold winter days.
