Brilliant food always cooked to perfection. The one fault is that they are a little slow, so you have to wait a little while, but it's worth it, in the long run........just had to say that we have been back a few days ago and the food was excellent as usual, but the price of the desserts I found had shot up in price to £6.50 per portion, I'm not a person who quibbles at the cost of a meal, but they have gone up by £2.00 per portion. You can buy a full cake or a cheesecake for less than that and get 8 portions out of it. So, sorry Blue Bell Inn, I think you have put up your prices far too much.
This beautiful old-world pub offers a fantastic Sunday lunch with a high-quality carvery that is simply amazing. The food is flawless, and the starters are incredible. The younger staff are friendly and welcoming, but there is one older woman with short, sharp gray hair who takes drink orders and could be a bit more pleasant. Her demeanor isn't the best, especially when you're spending a good amount of money. Nonetheless, the overall dining experience is enjoyable.
After reading many positive reviews, we decided to try Sunday dinner at this restaurant. Unfortunately, we left still feeling hungry. While £36 for two dinners, one Coke, and one wine seems like a good deal, the food was not edible. We barely made a dent in our plates, which I thought were overly cooked and unappetizing. The vegetables were soggy, the mash was gloopy, and the roast potatoes were disappointing. Overall, it was not a satisfying experience.
