First visit to the Blue Duck kitchen bar. I was hoping my wife would go along, but she went back because of the lack of appetite. I'm glad I left. The building that the Blue Duck occupied fits my age. It was completed during the Great Depression in 1935. Beautiful architectural design. The restaurant was packed on my arrival. The waiting time for a table for me was about. 15 minutes. Several customers were turned away either because of waiting time or no reservations. The reception staff was friendly. A Steiner Bock beer, Fried Mushrooms and a Flank Steak with Aspargus ordered at moderate prices. All the foods were good. A good testimony of how good the food was, my wife who had no appetite...
This is a very elegant restaurant in downtown Livingston, Tx. The waiting staff is very friendly and had a good knowledge of drinks orders and the menu. I came here with family and we all ordered a drink from the bar. Our drinks came out on time and were made exactly. Our bartender even came to our table to make sure we were satisfied with our order. I ordered the fried fish plate and my wife had a burger. My fried fish plate with pommes was one of the best fish dishes I had. Well seasoned and well cooked. This is a nice restaurant to take your family, or even just to get to the bar to have a few drinks and enjoy their live music once in a while. 10/10 will definitely go back.
Excellent food, big portions for whatever is a plus. The bar is lit, nice strong drinks and not loaded with sugar! Met the owner and the son, another plus, plus to make sure your customers are comfortable and that their food was great. Amazing experience and service, will definitely return in the near future!!
OMG fabulous Monte Cristo with blueberry compote and home made potato chips, baked potato soup. My husband had shaved ribeye sandwich with home made fries and tortilla soup. Great service, we have come here twice and would so recommend them one of the best places in Livingston Texas! Thank you
