The menu, which was previously presented in an elegant two-page fold-out, is now reduced to a half-page, one-sided card that does not convey the same sense of fine dining. While the staff were friendly, they were not as attentive as in past years and didn’t make us feel special. In previous visits, we were always served some canapés after being seated, but this seems to have been eliminated. Although the food remains excellent in taste, all five of us at the table noticed that our meals were not hot enough. I had a delightful dining experience in a beautifully elegant setting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was enjoyable, well-presented, and reasonably priced for an à la carte menu. It was lovely to relax with a drink in either the main hall or the library, which felt reminiscent of Downton Abbey. While I came primarily for the food this time, I might have to return as I've heard they offer four-poster beds.
