We had booked this place as our anniversary dinner based on the fact that it 's on Whitefish Lake and we 'd have a good view. First, the good part. Maria, our server, was fantastic. She 's the primary reason that pulled the rating up to a 2 Food was good Ambience was good, the view was ok Free valet parking Now for the ugly. The hostess at the restaurant is an uptight, rude, and probably racist, woman named Christine. We had reservations for 5 pm for dinner. We arrived at 4:45 pm. Without even a smile or any greeting she proceeded to lecture us that we 're early (we acknowledged that) and they wouldn 't be able to serve us till 5 pm. The waitress seemed to have just disappeared after we got our main course. Had to ask another waitress on 2 occasions to have our water refilled. Never asked how our food was or if I wanted another glass of wine. Had to ask another waitress for a dessert menu. After lack of service decided to forgo the dessert altogether. Very disappointed!! To top it off when we got bill I was charged for a different more expensive wine than what I ordered. My husband adjusted the bill himself. He left the waitress a tip even though she lacked in service. It was New Year’s Eve after all.
We are long time customers of the Boat Club and The Lodge, though we cannot enjoy it as often as we would like. We brought guests from the east coast and we were all treated beautifully. We are amazed that you are able to continue pulling off such great service and wonderful culinary delights through such challenging times. Bravo to all.
Overall, I found the experience quite disappointing. The $64 steak fillet was charred, overcooked, and had a strong taste of charcoal. The service was just mediocre. I didn't expect to see flies landing on the food at a fine dining establishment. It felt overpriced for the quality received.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated quickly. Our waitress Jean was not friendly nor attentive. Our drinks were exquisite and the food was okay. We come here because we love the atmosphere but probably won’t be back because the poor service soured the experience.
The atmosphere is lovely, although it can get a bit noisy at times, making conversation a bit challenging. The food is absolutely fantastic, but the prices are on the higher side. The complimentary valet service is a great bonus!
It was fantastic! Exactly what I was hoping for—drinks and dinner outdoors by the lake, with a view of the mountains. What more could you ask for?
My food was a bit over cooked but they tried to remedy that. Wait staff was terrific!!!!
