The restaurant has great views for people having outside sitting, however menu selection is limited, and noise level is pretty high when all outside sitting tables are occupied. We had an early reservation (5:30 PM) and just few other tables were occupied, however around 6 PM 6:15 PM two large parties arrived and the environment became very noisy. The menu selection is quite limited, plain and not very sophisticated. The parking is also limited. The restaurant is located at the Saugatuck Rowing Club and it is usually very busy during the workweek afternoons with middle and high school kids attending rowing and workout practices until 6PM 6:30 PM. Lovely setting, perfect ambience for a summerâs evening overlooking the Saugatuck River. The crab cakes and lobster bisque were delicious however we felt the limited menu of main courses was heavy and too âItalianâ based which is over done in our area. Robert, the new Maitre dâ was delightful and brought a warm and affable element to the beautifully redone dining terrace and dining room. A solid very good but the menu needs tweaking.
The setting is delightful, the service is attentive, and the owners are very welcoming and eager to satisfy their guests. Located by the river, the restaurant offers plenty of parking. While the food is somewhat lacking in flavor, if you're looking for a fantastic place to enjoy drinks and good company, this spot in Westport is definitely worth a visit.
Had restaurant week menu and it was great. Best pumpkin soup ever! And lovely to look at the river, especially at high tide.
