The Bottomleys Arms

Horrible horrible, avoid. Fish and chips mushy peas, appeared to be reheated. Batter dark brown, chips dark brown, dry flat, no crisp with the, This is why I say they looked reheated. Mushy peas were a none existence to resembling mushy. Tasteless. The price of drinks was a surprise too, expensive. The outside of the pub, which is old and with character, looks nice. Inside the pub a different story. Badly in need of total refurbishment, ladies toilets look dreadful, so old and put together, going back into the dark ages. 25 years since we were here, and the toilets have not changed. Nor the pub decorations. Avoid.

Had chicken Kiev, which it wasn't, it was breaded chicken breast with garlic butter poured on it which made the coating all soggy,the chicken was over cooked and dry, the chips was also soggy, didn't enjoy it at all, my starter was creamy garlic mushrooms sauce was good, mushrooms was only bout 2 cut up bit stingy on the portion , plus we waited ages for the food to come out,

I have started coming here most Fridays with my son the atmosphere is great very family friendly, the staff are always really kind and couldn't do enough for me and my little boy, i have recommended it to all of my family and friends I will definitely be going back the food Is amazingly priced for the size of the portions.

Such a warm and friendly pub, can’t fault for any reasons. Can tell how hard these people in this pub work, food was amazing, had a chicken burger and was so so yummy and the wait was so reasonable despite how busy it was. Went here with my family and had a brilliant time, food was amazing and the staff always had a smile on their face. The landlord was lovely and made sure we always had enough. Great service. 100% would recommend.

Beautiful home cooked food. The service is spot on, we absolutely love out Bottomleys family meals. The menu choice is massive and really reasonably priced. They proper look after you, definitely recommend.

Beautiful food and service. Becca served us today and she was exceptional. We loved the food we received.. we had belly pork and rump steak sandwich. Both outstanding. Thank you, we will be back

Fantastic, top quality home cooked food. Large portions. Really helpful staff. Incredibly cheap prices. Good real ale. Best pub meal I've ever had!

I had the BBQ fajitas, which were great and would definitely recommend. Service was quick and friendly. Beer was also good.
