I've been watching The Dean on Facebook for about 2 years and been waiting for the right time to go. I booked the afternoon tea with Carol singers as an early Birthday/Christmas treat for my parents. My Dad asked to leave his sandwiches plain as he's not keen on condiments so I emailed the restaurant q few days before and also asked for prosecco to be on the table from the Grandchildren for Mum's birthday. A day before the booking I hadn't had a reply so rang them instead. But on entering we were shown to a table in the corner away from everything even though the place was a quarter full, a good spot to watch the drunken people walk past on the poorly lit high street.When ordering a drink the waiter looked shocked I asked for a coke (full fat). The food was completely out of this world even though on first looking at the menu it looks pricey the quality and presentation of food was top notch and worth every penny. My only issue was that the service felt below par with a waitress walking around on her mobile clearing tables and also no cutlery was given to us for our mains and it took the chef to get the staffs attention for us to get this rectified and also our table was booked from 8-10 and at 9.20 we were the last guests and felt that we were be nudged out of the door with the waitress giving us our bill before we had even finished our drinks.So on the basis of how good the food was we'll definitely be giving it another go I just...
What a Shame!!! : : : What a shame. I really enjoyed the food and have nothing bad to say about that. The service was fine apart from very slow toward the end of the evening and had to go to the bar to ask for a drink.I really would have liked to have booked again but the customer service is very unprofessional from the management. The management is rude, unapologetic, childish, deceitful and obnoxious. No thank you, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Fabulous atmosphere at the Dean, place is so lovely, food was amazing and the staff were all great too, I love coming here, would highly recommend and only have praise from walking in the door to coming home! Selected the bottomless brunch which is great value for money and well worth every penny!
Absolutely fabulous here at the dean the staff are very attentive and friendly they look after you very well, all of our food we chose was delicious.The atmosphere was lovely with the pianist playing gentle music while we chatted and ate ... we will be going again for sure
Amazing food tonight lovely atmosphere staff were the best nothing was to much a party of 10 the drinks and food was served all together no delays or items missing definitely worth every penny spent tonight ps the Christmas cocktails are a must x
First visit to here for my birthday with Tracey and friends, decor, staff and food excellent. Well worth a visit and we'll be back

Loved it. Afternoon tea was fantastic as were the cocktails. Friendly staff and a great pianist. Go get The Dean experience!
The food and service her is fabulous the food is second to none nothing is to much trouble well worth a visit.
