The pub is outstanding under the new management of Hannah and Will, who have made some fantastic improvements. During my visit yesterday, I noticed that my usual table now had two comfortable leather armchairs that were gleaming with polish. The rest of the tables were also sparkling clean. The menu has been updated, and I decided to try the steak and Bishops Finger ale pie, which was filled with tender steak and baby onions. The pie was served piping hot with pickled red cabbage, mashed potatoes, and gravy. The portion had plenty of vegetables, so I didn't need any additional sides. Since the change of menu (which I have to say looked really exciting on paper) I have eaten twice at the Bricklayers and have been disappointed on both occasions. This is the pub that I used to tell all my friends and family about the fantastic quality of food we ate there, well not any more. It’s certainly not value for money with the cost of a burger not even including chips! Even the mucky chips are just that! A small plate of skinny fries leaving you wondering if they’d dropped half of them on the way to you and not delivering what you are promised. I went to this restaurant with friends before a football match. We ordered food at 12:40, but it had not arrived by 1:40. After complaining, my meal came out 5 minutes later. Unfortunately, the fries were lukewarm and the burger was the same. I paid £13.50 for my meal. My friends ordered ham, egg, and chips, which arrived at 1:55. The eggs were overdone and the chips were overdone as well. Some of my friends received a refund because we couldn't wait any longer. Although the restaurant was busy, they should have warned us about the long wait time. We hardly saw any other food being served during the hour we were waiting. I love this pub and the staff are superb. Similarly the beer is excellent. It's just a shame they changed the menu upon reopening after covid because the new one lacks variety and is very poor value for money.

The restaurant has an excellent team, a prime location, a wide variety of beers, and outstanding food. The chef and the rest of the staff are all friendly and personable. I highly recommend this place.
Love the food in the bricks would highly recommend the burgers and loaded fries! The service is top notch too, we’re always made to feel very welcome (especially the dog). The best pub in Bromley!
Great pub for arrows and scran, the quality of arrows produced in this pub has Russ Bray on the edge of his pugh, chef knows his was around a burger, cant go wrong
Visited here for lunch yesterday and the food was great and the service was really good to. Will definitely be returning soon
