We first came to the bridge for Sunday lunch 2 weeks ago and that was great we all had different meats the lamb, beef and chicken and all were tasty. We returned today for early dinner 23rd Sept and we were not dissapointed again. I had the lamb chops tasty and perfectly cooked with the fabulous veg and rosemary potatoes, my wife had the chicken and wild mushroom pie which she said was very nice and our friend had the beer battered cod and chips with mushy peas also excellent. Three of us had lunch today, and were delighted in every way by this charming pub. My chums are devotees of the excellent steak pie and glorious chips which the chef does so well, but for a change I chose the liver and onions. Good choice! It was delicious, and, joy of joys, cooked to perfection, a rare and splendid treat. Add to this the quiet, comfortable surroundings and a delightful new waitress, Debbie, who looked after us with great warmth and grace, and our cups runneth over. Just moved to the area so thought we’d call in for tea. So glad we did, it was lovely, so fresh tasty and really good service. Not many in when we arrived around 4:45pm Thursday 4th May 2023 so we had a drink outside in the sun. Went in to order and chose to sit in the restaurant bit with garden views on our own we both ordered steaks with different things like fries instead of hand cut chips for me but the hubby had them and they were gorgeous and my salad was great. I can honestly say we will be back, the food was lovely and nothing was too much trouble as we finished outside was getting quite busy with walkers and their dogs all friendly. This is our second visit to the Bridge Inn in just over a week and on each occasion we had an excellent meal. The Steak and Ale Pie with chunky chips, assortment of vegetables and delicious gravy was superb. All home made and cooked to perfection. You have to make an effort to go to this pub but it is well worth it, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

I was disappointed. Do know but looked like the management has changed since my last visit. This time I was very disappointed. With the service food and everything in general. I know its a dog friendly pub know.but when I booked I was not offered the the room where dogs are not allowed.there where more dogs than people in our room.wont be going back
Walked over the fields through woodland. Stopped off at the Bridge for lunch. We chose to sit outside on the covered patio area. Service was excellent we had sausage baps, which must be the best in the UK!
Such a little hidden gem, a warm welcome, a wood fire, and classic pub menu for lunch. The staff were amazing and the food was too. Definitely a place I would go back to again.
Great for an impromptu meal or long awaited celebration. Found by accident and what a find. Almost didn't want to tell you about it in case it's full next time!

We stumbled across this place whilst out walking, stopped for a drink that turned into a lunch. First class welcome, service, food and decor.
Fantastic food on their curry night. Full of flavour. Both chicken and lamb were so tender. Will definitely be going again.
