we just came back from a wonderful lunch in the bridges inn, after a walk. I couldn't resist the review below. we were served by a lovely young man, tristan, who quickly and cheerfully cared for us. the most important...Dishes looked tempting, but when we wanted something light, I chose the shropshire rarebit, which is nothing like cheese on toast, but right made with ale and senf and burst with taste. the salad leaves were fresh with a complementary sweet and tangy dressing. I followed this with homemade celestial and camouflaged eiseis for which was to die. my man chose the mackerel pate and toast with salat he said was delicious (and we shared a bowl of crispy thin chips). he followed wit...

we had a nice lunch in the bridges today. I arrived with my parents and my two-year-old daughter, a little roaring and needed a quick bite for a rather restless little child! the gentleman at the bar was so helpful and accommodating and brought out a small sandwich and a few chips in super short time. our pork and salate followed and were delicious. some great ales and apfel wines on the tap we have a few small tastes and loved the local long mynd zider. around the service was fab and the pub was warm and welcoming. I am very pleased to return.

Whilst the Pub had a good atmosphere the food we were served was diabolical. We were a party of people and booked well in advance. The beef and pork was particularly poor priced at per head there was very little meat, the...pork was dry and hard. No extra veg. was offered, beef with just a spoonful of mash and carrot, the pork a sliced potato a little bit of cabbage and no gravy, We all had starters, people having Cod bites at consisted of bites bit of lettuce and spoonful of aloe. Very disappointing and not worth the money we paid.

We went to this restaurant for lunch today and were disappointed with the limited and expensive menu. I decided to go for a light lunch option and chose the Shropshire Rarebit. When it arrived, I was surprised to see just one slice of bread with melted cheese on top and a side of not-so-fresh green leaf salad. The dish cost me over five pounds, which I felt was excessive for what I received. However, I did enjoy the beer. Overall, we were not impressed with our experience and do not plan on returning. The pub food at this restaurant is simply amazing. They use all locally sourced ingredients that are very tasty. The chips are delicious, and they serve homemade mayonnaise. I also tried the mackerel pate, rhubarb crumble, and homemade ice cream for dessert. The menu is small but high quality, with seasonal choices that change regularly. It's like enjoying top-notch food from London, but right here in Ratlinghope. It's a dream come true and definitely worth the wait.

After hiking up the Stiperstones and The Devil's Chair, we decided to stop at The Bridges Pub. The pub was very welcoming and had a young bartender. We did not eat here so I cannot comment on the food, but there was a good selection of ales on tap. I can imagine that it gets very busy in the summer, as there is lots of outside seating with a picturesque view of a brook and a footbridge.
